Chinese American Ms Shen Weini Appointed CEO of USA Table Tennis Association

The USATT (USA Table Tennis Association) recently announced that Chinese American Ms Shen Weini has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of USATT after fierce competition and elections. This is also the first time this organization has chosen a Chinese American to take up this post.

Shen Weini was reported to have a rich life experience. She was born in Shanghai, China and started to play table tennis at the age of six. Seven years later, she was enrolled in Bayi women table tennis team and she was teammate of a well-known table tennis player-Liu Guoliang. Shen Weini immigrated to US with her parents when she was fourteen. She holds a Bachelor Degree of Philosophy from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Ms Shen founded and served several large and medium-size enterprises, some with more than 200 employees. She is also an outstanding art collector.

As an excellent table tennis player, she represented USA and competed in world competitions for many times, and she has brought home numerous gold and silver medals.

With Ms Shen’s broad networking, professionalism, national and international view, USATT hopes and also believes that USATT will grow vigorously and reach to a new height under the leadership of Ms Shen.
